Snacks don’t come any easier than this easy salmon pate and they don’t come much tastier either. You can create it in around 10 minutes from ingredients you’re more than likely to already have in the fridge and store cupboard, so it’s perfect for a mouthwatering surprise supper. Instead of just buttered toast, you can now serve something that’s a lot more savoury and a real treat for the tastebuds. It’s also makes a delicious little starter for a main meal.
Ingredients
- 1 213g tin John West Wild Pink or Red Salmon
- 100g soft cream cheese
- 1tbsp dill
- 1tbsp horseradish
- 2tbsp lemon juice
- Black pepper for seasoning

Step 1
To make this salmon pate recipe in a matter of minutes, start by placing the John West Wild Pink or Red Salmon in a bowl, along with the cream cheese. Add the dill and lemon juice, then mash together thoroughly with a fork and season liberally with black pepper.
Step 2
Finally, spoon into ramekins and serve with hot, crispy toast or your favourite crackers. That’s all there is to it.
