Two-for-one as John West scoops pair of awards in one week
John West is delighted to announce it has recently won two awards: Best New Convenience Product at the Sainsbury’s Magazine Awards 2019 and the Learning Initiative Award at the Business Culture Awards 2018.
The award for the Best New Convenience Product went to John West’s No Drain Tuna Fridge Pot, which launched earlier this year. John West developed the peelable and resealable No Drain Fridge Pot to suit customers busy lifestyles. The resealable lid allows customers to eat just as much as they want in a variety of situations and makes it hassle free to store leftovers. This category-first innovation makes eating nutritious fish easier by moving ambient fish from the back of the cupboard to front of mind in the fridge.
John West also took home the Learning Initiative Award at the Business Culture Awards 2018. The Business Culture Awards recognise companies with exceptional business cultures. They highlight forward-thinking organisations that recognise the fundamental connection between employee experience and business performance. The learning initiative award is given to an organisation that achieved exceptional results by putting highly effective and inspirational learning at the heart of its culture. John West’s submission was based on its John West Academy and Controller group development initiatives, which are an essential component of how the organisation develops its highly engaged John West CREW and nurtures the next generation of leaders at the company.
The awards were presented on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 November in London.
